  • Historicism is indeed a terrible error – and this was know long before Karl Popper.

    The “War of Method” between Carl Menger and the German “Historical School” in the late 19th century shows this very clearly.

    The laws of economics are indeed universal – they are not conditional on “historical period”.

    Whether we are dealing with the errors of Karl Marx and “the left” or we are dealing with the errors of the state worshipping “right” – we must keep in mind that the error is a basic, a foundational, one.

    Ludwig Von Mises outlines the correct position in such works as “Human Action”.
