Gotta be a wind-up, or else the buggers are more confident than we think

David Davis

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…..sounds also like tye are back-tracking as soon as it gets published, so it’s probably real.

Also, our people MUST NEVER NEVER say “political correctness gone mad” – that merely legitimises “political correctness”, as I have always warned. It is not mad, and it can’t go mad. It is simply bad.

Libertarian Alliance Remembrance Post 6: what ought Libertarians to plan for, and discuss, regarding what’s worth defending, and why ought we to defend anything at all?

UPDATE….and Tim Worstall does it better than I do as well….

David Davis

That’s it for this year, you’ll all be relieved to know…but first, I will direct you to the Devil, who writes all this quite important stuff, which ought to be noted and spread virally into the endarkening before it’s too late, far more effectively that I do. Then I’ll just make the point that this being the 90th commemoration of the end of World War 1, it’s probably the last one of any size: moreover, that it’s remarkable that we have any of what my old dad used to dub “the poor old chapsleft to witness it.

The centenary will probably have State-regulated fireworks compèred by Jonathan Ross. There will be scantily-dressed BBC-news-readerettes who will hand out strangely unfamiliar red flowers in the streets shopping prestinks, to bemused passers-by, the whole thing edgily-videoed by wildly-waving handycams. (“And now it’s back to you, Russell Brand, in the studio!”)

There are many strands of Libertarianism. Chris Tame used famously to say that “there may be two Libertarians somewhere who agree about everything, but I’m not one of them!” Of course he was just making a point theatrically, which he was good at, but he meant that, unlike Trotskyo-Marxian fascists and big-statists, we can amicably discuss a large range of ideas without pogromising each other.

For example, Sean Gabb and many others have always opposed British involvement in Iraq (and for all I know elsewhere too) as not involving any vital British interests and therefore totally unjustified. He may turn out to be right, but I have always disagreed. I think the West responded with much too little, and much, much too late after 9/11, dragged down and back (until it was too late) as it was, by internal traitors in the UN, the EU, on the Beltway especially, and elsewhere, from the easy and clean fulfilment of its essential and unitary objective.

Then, there are Libertarians who would restrict the Franchise on property criteria. Insofar as we have a State, and a government, and while this is unavoidable, then it should be a pluralist democracy and so therefore I support these people, Salisburianly speaking. But I risk scandalising others as a result. It does not matter: we will not bury ice-picks in each other’s skulls.

To libertarians like me, Western Civilisation, especially when conflated with all the popular externalities created BY free markets and minimal State-Planning and especially when un-influenced by what Sean Gabb calls the Enemy Class, offers the fastest and least-destructive path for all Men to improve their lives and be happier. We do not know what comes after this life, if anything (that can be perceived in a physical sense) and can’t ever so far as we know find out; although many of us – even among Libertarians – believe there is a God, and that He approximates to that Being hazily described in 1.Genesis and also in 1.John.1. Paul of course said that “for now, we see as through a Glass, Darkly”: all we can therefore do is what seems best, or least bad, at the time. Human existence is imperfect, but small bits of progress can be made, and accumulated, provided they are allowed to. It’s the “not allowing” bit that totalitarians do that causes the problem.

What distinguishes Western Christian (in the old pre-secular sense) Civilisation from those others it has had the bad fortune to have to oppose and defend against, is the gradual if imperfect rise of a notion of individual conscience and liberty of thought and action. The going has not always been easy or uninterrupted. But in the end, we arrived shakily, “darkly”, at something whereby one could go through life substantially without coming into contact with the jaws of the State (Sean’s words roughly interpeted, not mine) and a degree of liberty meant also that there was a degree of spontaneous order.

These poor old chaps now finally pass out into the sunset of history, soon to be followed by those left from a later and worse conflict. They thought through the prism of their time, rightly or not, about what was worth defending. It would be nice to think we didn’t have to, but what we face now is just another manifestation of the enemies of individual freedom, this time very sadly right at home inside the West. Yes there may be a few terrorists skulking about, but add up all the deaths and destruction they have wrought and yet could, and it’s a pinprick compared with what the Gramsco-Marxians intend and are incrasingly coming out into the open with. Terrorists can only kill people and blow stuff up: they can’t begin to erase ideas.

If individual people are strong in what they believe, and if they honestly believe it, then terrorists can only isolate themselves further. But if we all acquiesce in the deliberate and purposeful Gramsco-Marxian elimination of our culture and the freedoms it gave rise to, then there is no place for llibertarianism to hide.

QUANGO: new word needed here…

David Davis

From Mark Wadsworth, we now learn that quangos welcome the creation of more quangos, since each one, which is substantively a mouth coupled to an anus, can therefore contribute to the collective destruction of privately-created wealth – which is to say all of the stuff.

The issue I have here is not what to do about quangos, which is clear (close the offices, auction the leases as a sideline near car-dealers, car-boot the seized chattels, and execute the captured and SOHO-connected inmates.)

The Libertarian Issue which has escaped too much discussion is why there is a very very large supply of people willing to

(a) work for or be involved with quangos,

(b) believe that this is a noble, good and right thing to do,

(c) [willing to] have been educated/trained/influenced while students, to believe this Gramscian corruption. It’s not shit – it’s not “nonsense” – it’s not “political correctness gone mad” NEVER NEVER EVER USE THAT PHRASE !!!!!!!! EVER! Hear me ??? – it’s pure and deliberately pre-meditated evil…..so why did they choose it, when the alternative was “good”?

(d) Worse, why did “academics” exist who could “train” them?

We need to ask why people think quangoism is good.

We need a new word for quangos, which could be used to lynch the concept. Ideas please!

I am enraged (increasingly common): Libertarian Alliance Remembrance Week post 2

David Davis

I might be accused by purists for appearing to dilute this blog’s objectives, which are arguably to disseminate Libertarian Ideas. In reply, (1) The Libertarian Alliance maintains a vast and growing archive which all of you know about at this address, and (2) I try to link posts to strands of applied libertarian involvement. I do this either because the nazis and other Leftists such as socialists, fascists and similar Gramsco-Marxians are carrying on their usual activity of eroding and destroying free will and the rest of what makes Men human, or because I think Libertarians ought to have moral positions on certain things, such as this……..

This story fairly got my back up just now. Chris Tame, I believe, was the first man to coin the term “safety-Nazis”, and it’s apposite here. The fact that Peter Miller, the RAMC veteran in the piece, who wanted to bear his parade’s Standard for perhaps the last time, is 88 is actually the whole point.

He wants to, coz he must...

He wants to, 'coz he must...

Not content with re-writing actual history to suit their world-view, the above groups of nasty, evil people want to cite excuses for degrading the meaning of symbolic historical acts performed by the still-living.

It makes you wonder if perhaps these people would be happier if all humans were actually dead. Hang on, I think one of them has even said that…..here’s an apparently sane man talking about the desirability of global gigadeaths: I wonder how he and his would select the “deathees” for the one-way, unitary and presumably involuntary task of “saving the planet”? Truly, there are some bastards and arseholes around today: here’s another one….I spoke too soon.

All these people whose names live on those little wooden crosses in the pic below, didn’t think they were fighting for the right of fascist and Gramscian bullies to remove both all risk and all meaning from history and existence – let alone the objective of removing all, er, humans beings:-

The tyranny of ideas.

The tyranny of "ideas".

Worth noting

David Davis

here.

Libertarians will have to fight, bloody hard, for their first nation, the first one to survive against Big States like ZIMBABWE and RUSSIA and CUBA and the EU, and great and powerful places like Somalia, Algeria, Burma and Sudan, and also many many others which sit high in the “UN”: of which all you can be sure will hate us, and which will want us dead. The thing is, to survive, and to therefore afterwards turn all the others to our bent, which is what matters in the end. Let’s get used to it now.

And the “dangerous Marxist twaddle award of the day” goes to….

The Gramsco-Eagletonian “student activist and welfare wing” of these people, who were spotted in the toilets by Obnoxio the Clown.

Some of this pretentious tripe just has to be quoted. Sorry:-

A row has broken out at the University of Manchester after its students’ union toilets were “de-gendered”.

Temporary signs have made the “ladies” simply “toilets”, while the “gents” have become “toilets with urinals”…

…..

……the student union said it was needed to tackle transphobia.

…..

Welfare officer Jennie Killip told the BBC: “If you were born female, still present quite feminine, but define as a man you should be able to go into the men’s toilets – if that’s how you define.

“You don’t necessarily have had to have gender reassignment surgery, but you could just define yourself as a man, feel very masculine in yourself, feel that in fact being a woman is not who you are.”

And what’s the place doing with “35,000” students anyway? I thought it was a University, not a small city. Mine had about 10,000 when I was up, and we thought that was big – alhough it was moderated somewhat by us being parcelled out to various august institutions for living and drinking and shagging socialising purposes.

Of course, a strictly libertarian stance might be taken that one can “feel that one is” [the buggers use “define as” : gosh what a two-edged sword the English Lanuage is] whichever sex one likes to be. Except that if you are a man but “define as” (I never heard that before! What lovely, lovely, priceless twaddle! ) a woman, you can’t be f****d: and I guess if you are a woman but you “define as” a woman, you’re about as much use to your “partner” [who I presume “defines as” a woman, and whom you can’t f**k either] as a one-legged man at an arse-kicking-party.

Right: we’ve thrown smelly squashed tomatoes and bad eggs at the fascist lefties…now comes the philosophy bit:-

Problems would arise though when it comes to behaving in ways that have evolved largely by consent, such as what toilets one ought to go in. Segregated toilets (which is to say, in public spaces and places with public character like offices and factories etc, as opposed to family homes) are really a voluntary product of “Free Institutions”, and have probably always existed in some form.

Perhaps feminazi-toiletwatch is another assault-tactic on the existence of free institutions, and these  “trans” people (who ought to be receiving boisterous assistance and lots of free alcohol from their mates instead of being encouraged to parade their particular hangups) are merely a stalking-horse for the erasure of more of ordinary Western civilisation.

I wonder what the good burghers of Manchester make of it?

Come to think of it…..two “lesbians” wanting a pee:- which one goes into the Men’s, and how can we tell?

Men, women, chivalry and MarxoFeminazism

David Davis

I am busy today, as this is Lancashire. Thus, owing to recent-but-decreasing-global-warming, it’s temporarily warm (brill !!!) for a couple of hours and therefore we have to do something about the grapes on the vines, or they will rot and we and our feudal-estate-slaves will both starve and have no wine. There’ll also be no chutney, for our Indian-takeaways (this is Lancashire, takeaway Chicken Tikka Masala is our national food) if we don’t get in the fast-rotting tomatoes, and the onions which are beginning so smell a bit iffy, and get them grubbed and boiled into the po’…..

I have therefore to redirect you for a little time. Bear with me till tomorrow, when I will find some other fatuous thing that the enemies of civilisation have done to blameless humans like us and our slaves, and I will then take the piss out of it, for your convenience.

In the meantime, I commend to you all a discussion on Brian Micklethwait’s blog, about how the marxohorrible feminazis view Sarah Palin – and by inference, all other ordinary normal women too.

Can women also be Gramsco-marxianazis? I think so, if something terrible goes wrong in their lives. Discuss. (The problem is why any of them wanted to be this thing, unless they were ugly (or deranged in some findamental way, either through misfortune or through socialist parenting) and therefore functionally-unshaggable, and (then) stupid enough to think that this was someone else’s fault other than perhaps their parents’. Imagine how pretty all the world’s women would be, without exception, all the time, if there had been no feminism ever, for about three generations. Having attended a University in the 60s/70s when sex had just been invented and released as freeware, (some would have called it shareware) I as a young man came to the conclusion that either unsuitably-small and rubbery breasts and/or bad breath beget socialist attitudes in a highly-educated woman; or else they don’t develop properly if she has been wrongly socialised and does not brush her teeth at least once each day. Discuss.)
